The first page of a 4 page questionnaire which S&W distributed to shooters is shown. There is very little info on this project but it was a thing(I could only find 2 minimal references).S&W got this into the hands of shooters in hopes they would answer the questions and their input would help S&W design the single shot "Dream Pistol".The question headings are "The General Design","For What Cartridge Shall We Chamber"and "Lockwork".On the first and last page it is stated that the 25 Shooters whose ideas are to the greatest extent incorporated in the final design will receive the first 25 guns produced, serial numbers 1-25.One reference I found suggested this was distributed in the 1920's but this has the date"3/4/37"at the top written in pencil.Which makes sense since S&W had discontinued the Straight Line Target Single Shot in 1936,which was not the success they had hoped for. Excellent As-New condition
